There are just a few steps to take to export and send us your WhatsApp chat:
- In WhatsApp, open the chat you would like to send
- Press on the three dots at the top right of the screen to make a list of options appear
- Press on “More ▸”, then “Export chat”
- Select “Without media”
- In the apps that appear at the bottom, select your email app
- Enter english@whatsnew.ch as recipient, then send!
Once you’ve completed these steps, you have finished the first task to participate! After a few minutes, check your e-mail account for an answer.
Follow the link in the e-mail to:
- Give your permission for us to use the chat
- Indicate the e-mail addresses of the other people in the chat so we can ask for their permission
- (optional) Indicate sensitive terms and answer some demographic questions.
